Two more major concerts are coming to Bangor this year.
Heavy metal bands Lamb of God and Mastodon will perform in August, while Creed, 3 Doors Down and Mammoth WVH are playing in November.
The Ashes of Leviathan tour is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Lamb of God’s album “Ashes of Wake” and Mastodon’s album “Leviathan.” The albums will be performed in full during an Aug. 6 concert at the Maine Savings Amphitheater on the Bangor waterfront.
This is Lamb of God’s second concert in Bangor in less than a year. The band performed with Pantera in September at the waterfront.
General public tickets for the Ashes of Leviathan tour stop will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. Tickets start at $56. The artist presale started at noon Tuesday.
Creed is coming to the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor Nov. 30 as part of the band’s expanded tour with 20 more dates. Creed will be joined by 3 Doors Down and Mammoth WVH.
Numerous Creed shows have sold out for the more than 40 previously announced tour dates. The band’s song “Higher” is featured in a viral Super Bowl commercial.
Tickets for the general public go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, with prices starting at $67. Presales started Tuesday.
