Lincoln police arrested a man Sunday after he allegedly fired a gun from the window of a home because he was bothered by a toothache and stress.
Police received a report that Christopher Bean, 22, had been shooting a handgun at an address on Lincoln Street. At the scene, officers detained Bean without incident, according to the Lincoln Police Department.
He was found to have a 9mm handgun in his possession.
During questioning, Bean admitted to shooting the gun from an upstairs window and blamed it on severe tooth pain and stress. Police found shell casings outside the window.
In a news release, the Lincoln Police Department noted that Bean had been shooting in the direction of Katahdin Avenue and Depot Street, which are frequented by pedestrians and construction workers.
He was brought to the Penobscot County Jail where he was charged with discharging a firearm near a dwelling and reckless conduct with a firearm.
