A Waterville man will spend more than 17 years in prison for trafficking fentanyl and cocaine.
U.S. District Court Judge Lance Walker handed down the sentence to Victor Soto Sanchez, 39, on Friday in Bangor.
Soto Sanchez also will serve five years of supervised release once he completes that sentence, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.
Police raided a Waterville apartment where Soto Sanchez had been selling drugs in late November 2021. During the search, police found five pounds of fentanyl in pill and powder form, five pounds of cocaine, more than $5,000 and several guns, the U.S. attorney’s office said Friday afternoon.
The drugs were worth more than $400,000.
A jury found Soto Sanchez guilty on Oct. 18, 2023, after a two-day trial.
