Since 2000 The Maine Children’s Scholarship Fund has been awarding scholarships to families who meet our income guidelines. The scholarships are for students in kindergarten through 12th grade for tuition for public or private school or toward homeschooling expenses.
We are excited to announce that The Maine Children’s Scholarship Fund is now offering a hybrid scholarship in addition to the homeschool and private school scholarship. The hybrid scholarship is for students not in traditional public/private school or homeschool. The hybrid scholarship helps with the cost of tuition for students who are accepted to online academy’s. MCSF will cover 65 percent of tuition up to $900.
The scholarship currently pays 75 percent of tuition up to $1,400 for public or private school or $500 toward homeschooling expenses. Scholarships are awarded to families whose income is within the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program income guidelines.
Applications may be completed on our website, http://www.mecsf.org.
The Application deadline is April 30; scholarships will be awarded by random drawing in May.
