U.S. Rep. Jared Golden and his wife Izzy announced their second daughter was born Sunday in Lewiston.
Shirley Berry Golden joins her almost 3-year-old sister, Rosemary, as the second child in the family, the Maine congressman and his wife said.
“We are so happy to have Shirley here with us and our daughter, Rosemary, summed it up for all of us quite simply when she told us, ‘I love her,’” Izzy and Jared Golden said in a Monday news release.
Golden, a Democrat who represents the 2nd District, will stay with his family in Maine for “several weeks,” including during the two-week House recess that lasts until April 9, but he expects to return to Capitol Hill for any key votes, his office said.
