A Bangor man died Sunday from injuries sustained in a mobile home fire last month.
Lawrence Dawson, 75, had severe burns and injuries after he was pulled from a March 14 fire at his home in Colonial Pines park on Bangor’s outer Ohio Street, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said Wednesday.
Dawson was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center by ambulance, then transferred by LifeFlight helicopter to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
A second man who lives at the home was not injured, police said previously.
Support beams were visible on about half the trailer after the fire was extinguished. A burned propane tank was on the lawn behind the home. Siding on a neighboring mobile home was melted in the fire, but the home should be able to be restored, the Bangor Fire Department had said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Moss said.
