A father-of-seven, who died in a suspected murder, has been described as an “all-round family man” by his loved ones.
South Wales Police are appealing for information following the death of Colin Richards, 48, in the Ely area of Cardiff on Sunday night.
Emergency services arrived at the scene in the Heol-y-Berllan and Heol Trelai area of Caerau shortly before 11.30pm.
Officers confirmed they have launched a murder investigation.
Mr Richards, from the Grangetown area of the city, was a “much-loved father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and an all-round family man”, according to his relatives.
The victim’s family also said in a statement: “He leaves behind seven children who will miss him greatly as he was very active in their lives.
“Though the loss is deep, the power of love and friendship will always stay alive. He will always be in our minds and forever in our hearts.”
