The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and Westbrook police have arrested a Portland man on aggravated drug trafficking charges after he was allegedly found with about two-thirds of a pound of fentanyl, and smaller amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine.
Westbrook police went to 140 Main St. in Westbrook at about 9 p.m. Saturday for a report of an impaired man who was preparing to drive a U-Haul vehicle, the MDEA said in a news release.
At the scene, police learned that the man, Marc W. Pinsky, was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants for failing to appear in court on felony drug trafficking charges, and for violating bail. He was arrested without incident, according to the MDEA.
Police said they found 309 grams of fentanyl, 140 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of methamphetamine, two handguns and $2,000 in suspected drug proceeds on Pinsky and in a bag he had with him at the time of his arrest. The MDEA estimates the seized drugs were worth $30,000.
Pinsky was brought to Cumberland County Jail where he is being held without bail for the new drug trafficking charges. Each of his outstanding warrants have bail set at $1,000 cash each, according to the MDEA.
