The Hermon School Committee members will discuss what traits they want in an interim superintendent during a special meeting Monday.
Superintendent Micah Grant resigned April 1, with it taking effect at the end of the school year in mid-June. The department will hire an interim superintendent to take over when Grant leaves. Then the committee will search for a full-time superintendent, Chairwoman Stephanie Oiler said.
The special meeting will start at 5:30 p.m. Monday, at the Hermon High School Library at 2415 Route 2.
During the meeting the school committee will discuss the “qualifications, characteristics and expectations” they want in the interim superintendent, according to the agenda.
There will also be time for public comment.
Before the committee discusses what they want, members who want to be part of the hiring process will have a mandatory training about confidentiality led by the Maine School Management Association.
