Damage from a fire at a Lincoln Street home Sunday morning was primarily in the kitchen, according to Brewer Fire Department.
The house was beginning to fill with black smoke when the fire department was called in at 8 a.m. and crews found fire in the kitchen area, the department said.
Brewer called in mutual aid from other departments, including Bangor, Orrington, Holden, Eddington and Dedham/Lucerne. Firefighters quickly squelched the flames.
There was little to no damage to the rest of the house, no one was injured and two cats escaped, the fire department said.
There was no information on the cause of the fire.
