A 28-year-old woman is facing arson charges after allegedly setting fire to a vehicle that was taken from someone she knew.
The vehicle was found ablaze off the Alexander Road in Dresden at around 7:20 a.m. Thursday morning, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.
Stephanie Lamoreau, 28, who does not have a permanent address, was arrested on Friday on Warren Avenue. She has been charged with arson, aggravated criminal mischief and unauthorized use of property, after reportedly taking the vehicle from someone she knows without their permission.
Lamoreau’s bail has been set at $5,000 cash. Further information was not immediately available Friday afternoon.
