Two packages erroneously delivered to a Winslow residence were found to contain nearly 30 pounds of pills that police believe to be fentanyl.
The resident was not expecting a package when the first one arrived from California on Friday, according to the Winslow Police Department. Inside the package, the resident found multiple bags of pills that police said tested positive for fentanyl.
A second package arrived at the same address on Saturday.
Police said the total weight of the pills was about 29 ½ pounds. They estimated the street value to be as much as $2 million.
An investigation is ongoing, Winslow Deputy Police Chief Randy Wing said in a news release.
