A Rockland man faces charges after police say he fired several shots inside a home on Carroll’s Lane Friday.
Samuel Ward, 23 of Rockland was charged with reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and having several outstanding warrants, among other charges.
According to Rockland police, gunshots were reported in the vicinity of 10 Carroll’s Lane at about 1 p.m. Friday. Upon investigation, it was found that Ward had fired several rounds inside the home, which had gone through the home’s roof. The Maine State Police tactical squad was called in to assist after unsuccessful attempts to contact Ward.
Ward exited the home at about 3 p.m. with multiple rifle magazines and was approached by officers, who took him into custody without incident. Police searched the home with a warrant and found several guns and suspected narcotics.
Ward is being held at the Knox County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
