Two Bangor residents were shocked to see a moose strutting by their homes Saturday night on footage from their security cameras.
Palm Street resident Corey Pease checked his security camera footage after hearing from another resident that a moose had been spotted in the area overnight.
“When I looked at my cameras I saw that I caught it on camera and my heart started pumping,” Pease said. “We never see anything like that around here.”
The footage shows the moose trotting at a brisk pace at 3:15 a.m.
About 10 minutes later, resident Devin Nease’s Ring camera captured the massive animal traveling north on Market Street toward Division Street.
Bangor police and the city’s animal control departments did not immediately respond to requests to comment.
