The person found dead at a home in Union over the weekend passed away from natural causes, according to Shannon Moss, spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
The person’s body was found at 8 Heald Highway, also known as Route 17, near the Hope town line. Moss declined to identify the person. The Courier-Gazette reported that he was 40-year-old Jonathan Dodge.
Dodge had reportedly suffered an injury from a fall the previous day, according to the Gazette.
Police responded to the home on Saturday morning. By noon, seven cruisers and the Maine State Police evidence recovery team were on scene investigating.
The specific cause of death is still pending, the Gazette said.
