AUGUSTA — University Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotion of Bryan Doby to branch manager of UCU’s now-open Augusta location at 67 Sewall Street — the credit union’s first brick and mortar location in Kennebec County.
For the past two years, Doby has served UCU members as a senior member services representative in Portland. In this new role, Doby will lead the Augusta branch, overseeing daily operations, developing new business opportunities, and providing support to members and the community. Doby holds a bachelor’s degree in tourism and hospitality from the University of Southern Maine.
“Bryan’s dedication and passion for helping others will be invaluable as we expand into this new community and connect with our members,” said Renee Ouellette, president and CEO. “His leadership and experience will foster strong relationships within the Augusta community.”
The 67 Sewall Street location offers UCU members full-service capabilities and state-of-the-art technology with UCU’s expanding fleet of Video Teller machines. The newly renovated space includes a welcoming lobby and dedicated areas for members to meet with UCU product specialists. Members may conduct a variety of transactions from this location, including real estate, consumer and member business loan closings, UCU Wealth Management meetings, financial education programming led by UCU’s Certified Credit Union Financial Counselors, and more.
To celebrate the opening of 67 Sewall Street, UCU will hold a three-day open house July 23-25 with activities, refreshments and product specials, beginning with a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce scheduled for July 23 at 12 p.m..
