World renowned Sergei Babayan to play alongside Festival Orchestra in season finale
BRUNSWICK — The Bowdoin International Music Festival is closing its 60th season with a world-renowned lineup and an all-Mozart show Friday evening for its season finale.
Bowdoin International Music Festival’s 60th season kicked off in late June and will come to a close Friday with a final concert performed by renowned pianist Sergei Babayan, alongside accomplished conductor Peter Bay and the Festival Orchestra at the Crooker Theater in Brunswick.
Babayan is one of the leading pianists of our time. Hailed for his emotional intensity, bold energy and remarkable levels of color, Babayan brings a deep understanding and insight to an exceptionally diverse repertoire.
This performance will end a special year for the Bowdoin International Music Festival, being its 60th anniversary of bringing Chamber music to Brunswick. After the performance, the celebration continues with pizza and craft beverages at Brunswick’s Nomad Pizza on 14 Maine Street.
