PORTLAND — Shop fine craft items to live with, wear and cherish! Proudly presented by Shop Maine Craft, the ninth annual Portland Fine Craft show will return to the heart of Portland’s Arts District, located on Free Street next to the Portland Museum of Art in the large parking area.
This festive, single-day, outdoor event features the work of over 100 juried fine craft exhibitors from all over Maine and the greater Northeast. Attendees can expect to find a wide variety of exceptional and high quality work in the following media categories: basketry, ceramics, decorative and wearable fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, paper, printmaking, stone, and wood.
In addition to the vibrant mix of exhibitors, the show will feature demonstrations of craft techniques at the demonstration booth scheduled throughout the day, outreach booths spotlighting New England arts organizations, as well as craft guilds and schools. Attendees are invited to participate in demonstrations and vote for their favorite exhibitor at the Shop Maine Craft Information Booth to win the 2024 People’s Choice Award.
Show Director, Simonne Feeney states, “Our organization is excited to bring back the show for another year, it’s a celebration of the incredible talent and creativity of our craft community and nurtures an appreciation for work that is handmade.”
A highly anticipated event for local craft enthusiasts and visitors to Maine, attendees will find a mix of both their favorite and familiar artists with newly juried makers. Attendees should keep an eye out for the show’s new branding in local advertisements and downtown signage.
This show remains free and open to the public.
