Matt Damon was spotted in Kittery over the long Labor Day weekend.
Damon, an actor famous for his roles in “Good Will Hunting,” “The Departed,” “True Grit” and the Jason Bourne films, was in town biking with his daughter and a woman who called herself his aunt, according to Seacoast Online.
After cycling around town, Damon stopped at The Juicery, where he immediately attracted the attention of the staff.
Damon ordered an organic juice called Life Blood as well as two smoothies, Peanut Butter Bliss and Mint Matcha Chip, Seacoast Online reported.
Life Blood contains beet, apple, carrot, ginger and lemon, while Peanut Butter Bliss features banana, peanut butter and chocolate almond milk, and Mint Matcha Chip is a blend of banana, mint, almond butter, cacao, honey, spinach, matcha and almond milk, according to The Juicery’s menu.
Damon then took a picture with the staff, which was The Juicery shared in a Tuesday Facebook post.
Irene Schlimmer, an employee at The Juicery, told Seacoast Online that Damon didn’t mind posing for a photo, saying he was “so nice.”
The Juicery has nearly a dozen locations in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts, including in Kittery and Portland. It plans to add two more locations in New Hampshire, according to its website.
Damon isn’t the only celebrity spotted in Maine over the summer. Singer Lady Gaga was in York in June for a wedding, actor and late-night host Jimmy Fallon visited Bar Harbor and Ellsworth in July, and former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson stopped at a cannabis dispensary in Eliot as part of a business venture in August.
