HINCKLEY — Good Will-Hinckley will hold their 2nd Annual “Wel-Kum Bak” for alumni and friends including those who attended and worked at Good Will-Hinckley, The Hinckley School and Averill High School on Sept. 27-28. As part of GWH’s Fall Festival, the “Wel-Kum Bak” celebration will have food, fun, and games at the Hinckley Campus, 16 Prescott Drive.
Activities for alumni and friends begin on Friday evening, with a craft fair (free admission), and from 5–9 p.m. entertainment under the tent. Tickets are $20 ($25 at the door) for “Crafts, Drafts and Laughs (And Pizza Too)”, which will feature music, Running with Scissors Comedy Improv, beer and wine, wood-fired pizza, and more.
Wel-Kum Bak activities continue Saturday, Sept. 28 with local Rotary organizations holding a pancake breakfast under the tent starting at 8:30 a.m. and Good Will-Hinckley memorabilia, class photos and displays throughout the day in the Alfond Visitors Center.
Fun for all ages will happen during the Fall Festival from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include climbing wall, lawn games, pumpkin painting, obstacle course, food trucks, craft and art fair, reptile tent, wagon rides, live music, a passport adventure and more! Also on our campus, our L.C. Bates Natural History Museum @ Good Will-Hinckley will be offering free admission for the day, sponsored by Skowhegan Savings Bank!
During “Wel-Kum Bak”, Good Will-Hinckley Alumni will have a special lounge at the Alfond Visitors Center, tours of campus (including the Moody Chapel) and time to reconnect. Admission to Saturday’s Fall Festival is free, thanks to our festival sponsors, Sappi and Golden Pond Wealth Management, but donations are always welcome.
Good Will-Hinckley, Averill High School, and Hinckley School alumni and friends will conclude the “Wel-Kum Bak” Celebration with a dinner reservation at a local restaurant.
