A Lewiston man who made racist threats toward a Black family in his apartment complex was sentenced on Wednesday to 30 months in prison.
Charles Allen Barnes, 47, pleaded guilty in March to one count of threatening communications in interstate commerce, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a news release.
As part of the plea deal, Barnes admitted to sending a Facebook voice message in which he repeatedly used racial slurs and stated that he was outside the neighbor’s residence and would kill anyone who came out, the DOJ said.
