A woman was found dead in a Bangor home on Wednesday morning after she didn’t come to work, according to Bangor police.
Police were notified just after 9 a.m. of a potential death at a house on Larkin Street.
A co-worker went to the house after the woman didn’t arrive at work on Wednesday morning, Bangor police Sgt. Jason McAmbley said in a news release.
At the house, police found the body of a woman. As of Wednesday afternoon, McAmbley said detectives and evidence technicians were still at the scene starting an investigation and interviewing witnesses.
The body of the woman, whose name has not been released, was brought to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta for a post-mortem examination, McAmbley said.
