A Saco man is accused of setting a Biddeford home ablaze early Sunday morning.
Richard Olin, 42, has been charged with arson and burglary, but he may face additional charges as the investigation progresses, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
The fire broke out at a Proctor Road home, where officers found Olin and detained him, Moss said Sunday afternoon.
The home’s residents were there at the time of the fire, but made it out safely.
No injuries were reported.
The fire, however, damaged the home and destroyed a garage, according to Moss.
Moss said that Olin was familiar with the home’s residents but didn’t live there himself.
Olin is being held at the York County Jail in Alfred without bail. He was expected to appear in court Monday.
