Christina Aguilera is ready to celebrate Halloween in style.
Aguilera, 43, took to social media on Tuesday, October 22, to show off a flattering Halloween-themed ensemble that flaunted her toned physique.
In an Instagram carousel of photos, the “Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)” singer was seen dressed in a low-cut, floor-length orange gown with a black feature panel stitched into the front. Black spaghetti straps held the dress in place as Aguilera posed in various stances throughout her home.
In one photo, Aguilera stood alongside fiancé Matthew Rutler, draping her arm up around his neck as a Christmas tree dressed in pumpkins, skeletons, spiders and cobwebs shone behind them. “My favorite time of the year,” Aguilera captioned the post.
Christina Aguilera ‘Wasn’t Comfortable’ With Her Hypersexualized Debut Era
The singer’s fans were quick to show their approval over the stylish snaps, with one follower writing in the comments section, “The queen of Halloween,” and another commenting, “STOP BEING SO GORGEOUS I LOVE UUUUUUUUU.”
The post comes just after the 25th anniversary of Aguilera’s self-titled debut album, with Aguilera admitting there were many things she didn’t enjoy about that particular era.
“It definitely was a time to hypersexualize the little girl playing innocent thing,” Aguilera told Paper magazine in an interview published on August 28. “I hated feeling like I had to play both sides of the coin in a way that I wasn’t comfortable with and in a way that I felt was inauthentic.”
Aguilera expanded on her memories, explaining that her discomfort sparked a total departure from “Dirrty” off her 2002 album Stripped.
“Im not trying to be cutesy for nobody, I need to rough this up, whether you like it or not,” she said during the interview. “As I said, I was surrounded by a lot of older males, it was a different time. But it’s definitely an environment to this day I don’t like being around: the macho male gaze. I just can’t do it, it’s a really uncomfortable place for me to be. A lot of people can stomach that, but I’m just not that girl.”
Christina Aguilera’s Fiance Matthew Rutler Supports Her With Rare Appearance
The candid comments came days after Aguilera revealed she refuses to let haters get under her skin.
“I have a maturity now where I just don’t give a f–k about your opinion. I’m not going to take it on,” Aguilera told Glamour in a cover story published on August 15. “It must be your responsibility to take up your space. Other people’s opinions of me are not my business.”
She added that she hopes her children, son, Max, 16, whom she shares with ex-husband, Jordan Bratman, and daughter, Summer Rain, 10, whom she shares with Rutler.
“Your kids trigger things in you that you don’t want them to go through,” she told the outlet. “And it’s almost like you’re reliving this whole thing again … you just want the best for your kids.”
