Kane Brown’s In the Air Tour is a non-stop party — and his pre-show rituals are every college student’s dream.
“I play a lot of video games or watch football,” Brown, 31, exclusively reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly, giving a behind-the-scenes look of his go-to activities before a big performance. “I [also] play beer pong.”
The country singer teamed up with Crown Royal for their “That Deserves a Crown” sweepstakes during his final U.S. tour stop in Arlington, Texas, last month. Before getting back on the road for dates in Australia, Brown takes Us backstage — and reveals some on-the-road secrets.
“The crowd hypes me up the most,” he says. “[When it’s time to take the stage], I go up on a lift, and you can see, like, the outline of the crowd. And then once the first lights hit, you just hear a roar.”
Kane Brown Teases 2 Duets With Wife Katelyn on New Album: 1 Country, 1 Pop
Despite the massive crowds — and playing stadiums for the first time this tour — Brown tells Us that he doesn’t “really get nervous anymore.”
“These last couple stadium shows I’ve kind of felt, like, it’s hard for me to even remember them, if that makes any sense. I’m just there,” he explains. “Everything I improvise on stadium shows [is] just because I’m just so excited to be playing them. It’s like my body’s just doing its own thing.”

What’s in My Dressing Room
“That always depends on the venue,” the musician says. “It’s usually like my TV or my Xbox, beer pong table. I have a bar and … my wardrobe.”
Brown confesses that his wardrobe is “usually all the clothes that I have taken off after a show and then they get thrown in there.”
“I try my best not to wear the same outfit twice. It’s like impossible,” he adds. “It’s kind of just like an escape. If I don’t have anything else to wear, I can grab something.”
Favorite Song to Sing Live
Brown says “Miles On It,” his my newest single has been a blast to perform. “It’s just blowing up for us,” he shares. “If my wife [Katelyn] is with me, [our duet] ‘Thank God’ is also cool.”
Strangest Autograph Request
“I’ve been asked to sign a baby,” he laughs, adding that he ultimately declined the request.
“Another one was a forehead with a permanent marker,” he adds. “I thought that was wild. I didn’t do that one either. That’s a mistake — you got work tomorrow!”
Ideal Afterparty
“If my kids are out [on tour with me], you know, it’s bedtime,” Brown tells Us, referring to his daughters Kingsley, 4, and Kodi, 2, and son Krewe, 4 months. “If not, then I just hang out with my band. I don’t really get to see them much, so [we] just listen to my new album.”
Hardest Song to Perform Live
“I would say ‘Ain’t Life Grand’ [is] probably the hardest one for me ’cause it’s right out of the gate. It’s a pretty high song,” he explains. “It’s just different. So I’d say that would be the hardest one.”
