Ariana Grande came down from her bubble to grace Us with her presence at the Australian premiere of Wicked.
The forthcoming movie musical, in which the 31-year-old pop sensation stars as Galinda/Glinda, hosted its first red carpet premiere down under on Sunday, November 3. Grande dressed to impress, in pure Glinda fashion, in a pink Vivienne Westwood ballgown.
Grande’s frock featured oversized cap sleeves and a tulle skirt embellished with crystals in the shape of starbursts. She accessorized her look with diamond Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, including a butterfly choker necklace.
For glam, Grande wore her blond locks down in loose waves that cascaded down her back.

Overall, the look epitomized the Glindas that came before Grande. Her dress sleeves and skirt especially reminded Us of Billie Burke’s gown from the original Wizard of Oz film.
Wicked, meanwhile, is the prequel story of Ozian witches Glinda, The Good Witch of the North, and Elphaba, The Wicked Witch of the West. The project, adapted from Gregory Maguire’s novel that inspired a hit Broadway musical, sees Galinda/Glinda and Elphaba bond as students at the bewitching Shiz University.
Grande scored the role of Galinda/Glinda opposite Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba. The two actresses also posed together on the yellow-brick carpet on Sunday.
Erivo, 37, for her part, was equally a sight to behold in a strapless, black Louis Vuitton gown and a matching statement choker.
In addition to Grande and Erivo, Wicked stars Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum, Marissa Bode and Ethan Slater attended the Australia premiere.

Tony Award nominee Slater, 32, for his part, appears in the two-part film as Boq, a munchkin with an unrequited crush on the Good Witch. In real life, he started dating Grande behind the scenes after their respective divorces.
“It was an amazing year and a really beautiful thing, and I’m just really excited,” Slater gushed to GQ in a recent profile. “I’m just really, really proud of Ari and the work she’s done on this. She’s poured herself into it. I’m really proud that I got to be there for that part of it, and I’m really excited to be there for this next step of it when the world gets to see the amazing thing that she did.”
