The state girls high school soccer regional finals will take place this week with matchups scheduled at 10 sites around the state on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Tuesday’s action features teams in Classes A, D and 8-person. Classes B and C play on Wednesday, according to the Maine Principal’s Association schedule.
Class A will pit North top seed Bangor (15-1) against No. 2 Camden Hills (16-0) at 6:30 p.m. at Messalonskee High School in Oakland. Camden Hills won the lone regular season meeting in September 3-0.
In the South, No. 1 Windham (14-1-1) will battle No. 2 Scarborough (13-1-2) at 6:30 p.m. at Massabesic High School in Waterboro. Scarborough won their only regular season meeting 2-1.
The Class D North regional championship will see No. 1 Ashland (13-3) taking on No. 3 Penobscot Valley of Howland (12-2) at 6:30 p.m. at Presque Isle Middle School.
The South D game pits No. 1 Buckfield (14-1) against No. 3 Monmouth Academy (8-8) at 6:30 p.m. at Winthrop High School. The teams did not meet in the regular season.
In 8-person action, North No. 2 seed Dexter (16-0) squares off against No. 4 George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill (13-2) at 6:30 p.m. at Cameron Stadium in Bangor. Dexter won both regular season meetings by scores of 8-1 and 3-2.
The South matchup has No. 1 Temple Academy (16-0) taking on No. 2 Madison (14-0) at 6:30 p.m. at Cony High School in Augusta. The teams did not meet in the regular season.
In Class B action on Wednesday, No. 1 North seed Medomak Valley of Waldoboro (14-2) will face No. 2 Hermon (14-2) at 6:30 p.m. at Hampden Academy. The two teams did not meet in the regular season.
In the South, No. 1 Greely of Cumberland (10-0-5) faces No. 2 Cape Elizabeth (12-1-3) at 4 p.m. at Fryeburg Academy. The two teams tied both times they met in the regular season, 2-2 and 1-1.
The Class C North final will pit No. 1 Fort Kent (12-2) against No. 2 Foxcroft Academy (13-0-1) at 6:30 p.m. at Hermon High School. The two teams did not meet in the regular season.
In Class C South action, No. 1 Maranacook of Readfield (14-0-2) takes on No. 3 North Yarmouth Academy (13-3) at 6:30 p.m. at Edward Little High School in Auburn. The two teams did not play each other in the regular season.
Winners of the regional finals advance to Saturday’s state championship games. The Class A and D title games are at McMann Field in Bath at times to be determined. The B and C games are at Cameron Stadium in Bangor (times TBD) and the 8-person final is at 11 a.m. at Presque Isle Middle School.
