In York, an ordinance requiring distilleries to be 400 feet from dwellings and within a lot of at least 25 acres will not be adopted.
More than 60 percent of voters rejected the ordinance.
It had come in response to the business Wiggly Bridge Distillery, which wants to build two more whiskey houses in the area.
Neighbors have pushed back over concerns about whiskey fungus, which feeds and grows off the fumes of alcohol.
Neighbors have said it’s already showed up in several areas.
Wiggly Bridge argued the proposed ordinance was a direct attempt to block the expansion of a business.
