BANGOR — Hit pop-rock band American Authors will be taking the stage at The Gracie Theatre on Husson University’s campus for a concert on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m.
The band best known for their song “Best Day of My Life,” is making the stop as part of their Call Your Mother tour.
Since releasing their debut album “Oh, What a Life” in 2014, New York-based American Authors have watched their music climb to the top of the charts while singles went multi-platinum. They’ve played awards shows, hit the stages of legendary venues all over the world and toured the world with bands including OneRepublic, The Revivalists, and The Fray. Their anthemic hit single “Best Day of My Life” has been featured in over 600 movie trailers, TV shows, commercials, and as a theme song for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Lead singer Zac Barnett vows that the best day of their lives is still yet to come.
“We just want to keep the adventure going,” Barnett said.
Originally formed in 2006 at Berklee College of Music in Boston, American Authors features Barnett on vocals and guitar, Dave Rublin on bass, and Matt Sanchez on drums.
“Imagine seeing a hugely successful band up close and personal. That’s what you get when you attend a concert at The Gracie,” said Jeri Misler, managing artistic director of the Gracie. “This is going to be a fantastic opportunity to see a hit band live on stage performing their chart-topping music.”
