Yellowstone star Luke Grimes is madly in love with wife Bianca Rodrigues — and he doesn’t care who knows it.
Grimes, 40, referred to Rodrigues as the “coolest person in the world” while performing at Webster Hall in New York City on Monday, November 11. The musician took the stage for his first-ever live show in the Big Apple one day after the Yellowstone final season premiere.
While introducing his song “South on 75,” Grimes recalled taking a road trip to Nashville with his wife. The actor was thinking about “all the things that could go wrong” with starting a music career, but Rodrigues offered him a sense of calm.
“I looked over and Bianca’s just looking out the window, having the time of her life,” he told the crowd. “I thought, ‘OK, I want to be a lot more like her.’ That’s the way to be.”
‘Yellowstone’ Cast’s Dating Histories
Grimes thought “no matter” what happened with his music career at that point, he had “already won” with Rodrigues.
The couple has kept their relationship on the low-key side since they started dating. The pair got married in November 2018 and welcomed a son last month.
Grimes made a second reference to his wife while on stage on Monday, joking about singing breakup songs while being a happily married man.
While the actor did not make any reference to his role as Kayce Dutton in Yellowstone, many of his costars were also in attendance. Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton) and Kelsey Asbille (Monica Dutton) could be seen enjoying the concert from the venue’s VIP area, an eyewitness tells Us Weekly.
‘Yellowstone’ Cast’s Pre-Show Roles: Where You’ve Seen the Stars Before
Along with the continuation of Yellowstone and his budding music career, Grimes has also continued his partnership with Stetson and Scent Beauty as the face of Stetson Legend cologne. Starring in Yellowstone since 2018 has helped Grimes appreciate the true American nature of the brand.
“Costumes and jokes do not define Western culture — it’s how people put steak on their plates every night,” he told The Tennessean late last month. “Playing on ‘Yellowstone,’ I’ve spent seven years in Montana, Utah and Texas learning to appreciate this. Almost a decade later, I’ve only recently felt entirely comfortable enough with my familiarity and respect for the culture to wear a cowboy hat naturally.”
For him the “fresh and rugged” scent of Stetson Legend is the cherry on top, noting that the fragrance is “a cowboy will get dressed up like a gentleman to wear.”
