SEARSPORT — Searsport District Middle/High School presents “She Kills Monsters: Young Adventurers Edition” by Qui Nguyen. Opening this Friday, Nov. 15, and running Saturdays, Nov. 16 and 23, Friday Nov. 22, all at 7 pm, and Saturday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. “She Kills Monsters” is a dramatic comedy about how Average Agnes Evans gets to know her late little sister, Tilly, aka Tillius the Paladin, through an epic Dungeons and Dragons adventure.
Tickets are $5 and are available at the door. Seating opens a half hour before the show at 24 Mortland Road in Searsport.
One of the most popular plays among high schools and colleges, “She Kills Monsters” is set in 1995 Athens, Ohio … and the world of D&D. Unleash your inner nerd and come enjoy a night of drama, comedy, and adventure! Starring senior veteran actors Connor Courtney as Orcus – Former Overlord of the Underworld, Aiden Boyd as Miles the Boyfriend, Bay Nadeau as The Narrator, junior Haylie Whitney as Agnes Evans, sophomores Kiera Saball as Tilly, Cora Lockhart, Isaac Traves, and Jay Swimm as part of the Monster Ensemble. Making their freshman debut as part of SDHS Theater: Morgyn Cornell as Lilith, Dilyla Brown as Evil Gabbi, and Selina Cantres as Vera. SDMHS Theater also welcomes back veteran middle school actors Kylie Whitcomb as Kaliope, Anna Traves as Evil Tina, Violet Deturk as Farrah the Faerie/choreographer, Ian Norwood as Chuck “DM” Biggs, and AJ Penney as part of the Monster Ensemble. Introducing Jaxson Gilmore-Gross as The Great Mage Steve, and MORE Monsters including Aspen Fogg, Addysen Fairbrother, Rain Lane, Natalia Stone, Seth Whitney, and Prue Sambrook.
