MACHIAS — Machias Savings Bank is now accepting applications for its new Workforce Development Grant, dedicated to funding projects that enhance and expand Maine’s workforce capabilities. This grant provides a total of $50,000, awarded in three amounts of $25,000, $15,000, and $10,000, to support projects that focus on upskilling, reskilling, and career readiness resources throughout the state.
The application period for the Workforce Development Grant closes on Nov. 22. Eligible applicants include 501(c)3 organizations, educational institutions, and municipalities committed to building a stronger workforce in Maine. Priority consideration will be given to projects that promote career pathways, vocational training, and accessible job opportunities for Maine residents. Selected recipients will be notified by phone by Dec. 16.
