A 31-year-old Bangor man was arrested on burglary charges on Wednesday.
Bangor police arrested Mark Perkins at around 10 a.m. Wednesday morning after performing a traffic stop on a vehicle he had been a passenger in.
Perkins had been identified as a suspect in a burglary which resulted in firearms and other items being taken, according to Sgt. Jason McAmbley of the Bangor Police Department.
He was taken to Penobscot County Jail, and has been charged with one felony count of burglary, and three felony counts of theft.
According to McAmbley, Perkins admitted to committing multiple thefts and burglaries in Bangor, and told police officers where the stolen items were being kept.
The Bangor Special Response Team recovered a number of firearms and other items taken during the burglaries after obtaining a warrant for an Ohio Street residence.
Further charges may be considered. Further details were not available on Thursday morning.
