The Maine State Police on Thursday released two new photos to aid in the search for 14-year-old Stefanie Damron.
Damron was last seen entering the woods near her home on the West Road in New Sweden Sept. 23. She was 13 at the time but has since turned 14.
Police have described Damron as 5 feet tall and 130 pounds, with green eyes and shoulder-length brown hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a long-sleeved blue shirt and black Harley Davidson hiking boots.
Extensive search efforts have been undertaken to attempt to locate the girl. Multiple New Sweden residents, along with searchers from across Maine, joined in search efforts for the teen in October.
Damron’s disappearance is being investigated by multiple state police units, including the state’s computer crimes unit. The FBI’s Child Abduction Rapid Deployment Team is also part of the search for the Aroostook County teen.
The state’s K9 unit was deployed to search the area the teen was last seen. No search updates have been provided.
Numerous interviews have been conducted, with police extending their search across the nation and into Canada.
“We’d once again ask that you keep an eye out for anyone that may look like her, or share any information you may have regarding this case with us,” state police asked.
Anyone with information about Damron’s whereabouts can call the state police at 800-924-2261 or 207-532-5400.
