One person was found dead after a building fire in Amity on Saturday.
The fire at 44 Emily Drive was reported to state fire marshals around 2:30 p.m., according to Maine Department of Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss. When officials arrived, the building had received serious fire damage.
The body of one person, who has not been identified at this time, was located within the building. Their body has been transported to the state medical examiner for an autopsy and to confirm their identity.
The fire remains under investigation.
