A Newry man has pleaded not guilty in a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Bethel in June.
Arin Palmer, 44, entered his plea Tuesday in Oxford County court via videoconference, according to the Sun Journal.
He faces charges of manslaughter and operating under the influence of alcohol, the newspaper reported.
Palmer was driving a 2014 Toyota Prius on Route 26 in Bethel about 5 p.m. on June 15 when he crossed into the path of a 2014 Honda CTX 700 motorcycle operated by 61-year-old David Roy of Berlin, New Hampshire.
Roy died at the scene.
Palmer, who wasn’t injured in the crash, was taken to the Oxford County Jail in South Paris. He was later released on $7,500 bail, the Sun Journal reported.
A grand jury indicted Palmer in July, according to the newspaper.
