A fight at a South Portland sushi restaurant ended with a shooting.
Two groups got into an altercation inside Kobe Steakhouse on Gorham Road on Wednesday evening, according to the South Portland Police Department.
That altercation then moved into the parking lot, where a suspect from one of the groups displayed a gun and threatened the other group, South Portland police said early Thursday morning.
The victims then fled in a vehicle, but the suspect followed them in another vehicle. When they reached the intersection of Gorham Road and Western Avenue, the suspect allegedly fired the gun toward their vehicle, hitting it.
No one was hit by gunfire.
The suspect fled onto Western Avenue.
The shooting remains under investigation.
