A Maine man was seriously injured in a crash on Route 1 in West Bath on Monday afternoon.
The Brunswick police and fire department responded to the crash near the West Bath town line at around 3:55 p.m. Monday, according to police chief Scott Stewart.
Michael Herrick, 26, of South Portland was seriously injured in the crash. Officials believe his vehicle drifted off the roadway before striking a rock embankment and rolling over several times.
Herrick became trapped inside the 2012 Hyundai after it came to a stop on its roof. He was seriously injured at the scene of the crash, and was transported to Maine Medical Center via LifeFlight.
No other drivers were injured in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
