Three people have been hurt, including a Monmouth police lieutenant, after a head-on crash in Turner on Monday.
The two-vehicle head-on crash happened around 5 p.m. on Turner Center Road, according to the Sun Journal.
The Sun Journal reported that one of the vehicles involved was a police cruiser. Two people were taken to the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston while the Monmouth police lieutenant was airlifted to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Monmouth Police Chief Paul Ferland said the lieutenant was been seriously hurt in the crash. According to the Sun Journal, the lieutenant was in critical condition late Monday night.
The crash is under investigation.
