MACHIAS – Machias Savings Bank is proud to announce the recipients of its 2024 Workforce Development Grant program, which funds projects to enhance and expand Maine’s workforce. A total of $50,000 in grants was awarded to three organizations:
Jobs for Maine’s Graduates ($25,000) – Supporting their microcredential programming.
Junior Achievement ($15,000) – Funding to expand to seven more schools in Maine.
Camp Susan Curtis ($10,000) – Supporting their youth leadership programming.
The grants support initiatives focused on upskilling, reskilling, and career readiness to strengthen Maine’s workforce. Eligible applicants included 501(c)(3) organizations, educational institutions, and municipalities committed to building career pathways, vocational training opportunities, and accessible jobs for Maine residents.
