A body washed ashore near Portland Head Light in Portland early Thursday afternoon, the Portland Press Herald reported.
The body was reported to police at about 1:26 p.m., according to the Cape Elizabeth Police Department. Police found the deceased person on the shore inside the park.
No information about the person’s cause of death or other details were immediately available.
